It is a known problem that the o-rings in vanos eventually becomes hard, and in some cases splitting. This can sometimes cause on cold start a vanos rattle, warm Idle vanos clattering similar to the diesels, poor low down torque and power and uneven power delivery.
Originally you must buy the complete vanos-unit, but here you have opportunity to buy the o-rings and rattle rings alone.
We recommend that the installation is carried out by a qualified professional.
